TJ Roman is a 2020 MIF/OF with a 5-11 168 lb. frame from Hackensack, NJ who attends St. Joseph Regional. Medium frame with a lean build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary middle infielder with sound footwork while traveling to and working through the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and worked through exchange quickly. Displayed polished glove actions with the ability to manipulate with short hops while on t he run. Released from a high energy three-quarters arm slot producing on line carry to the bag at 80 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Looked to throw hands to the baseball and utilized a mid field to opposite field gap approach. Projects for additional pop to the gaps with further implementation of the lower half. Very good student as well.
