Efrain Santiago is a 2017 C/ with a 5-9 174 lb. frame from Moca, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium build with a strong, filled out frame and good strength throughout. Posted a 7.58 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, developing catch and throw skills with developing arm strength and a workout pop time of 1.92. At the plate, started open with a high hand set, high back elbow and a toe tap timing mechanism. Showed some bat speed at the plate and flashed barrel feel with an inconsistent swing plane through the zone. Outstanding student.
