Tanner Parmely is a 2020 SS/RHP, 2B with a 5-8 157 lb. frame from Selmer, TN who attends Mcnairy Central High School. Very young player with a lean, slender build, athleticism, and lots of room to continue to grow and add strength with age. Primary shortstop, showed a good first step to the ball, raw footwork and arm strength, and clean transfer skills. At the plate, started with a closed stance, high hand set, high back elbow, and a toe tap timing mechanism. Linear swing plane through the zone with an up the middle approach. Inside out hand path, flashed hand speed, with developing bat speed. Will continue to improve at the plate with incorporation of lower half and additional strength. Also pitched, started with a high leg lift, first base side of the rubber start, short arm action, and threw from a high three quarter arm slot. Online delivery and landed balanced. Fastball worked 66-70/71 mph and around the zone for strikes. Curveball showed 12/6 shape with good depth. Good student.
