Garret Ostrander is a 2020 SS/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Rancho Bernardo, CA who attends Del Norte. Primary shortstop with an athletic frame. Strong arm and some athletic actions in the infield. Takes some big strides to his glove side that allow for increased range up the middle, some raw, projectable tools that could develop nicely. Upright, even stance at the plate, with a simple leg lift trigger. Loose hand path and good weight shift leads to a slightly lifted barrel plane. Stays in the middle of the field and the pull side in the approach at the plate, highlighted with a two run single through the left side in game action. High motor guy that uses his 7.00 second sixty-yard dash speed to be aggressive on the basepaths. Secondary pitcher with good arm speed up to 81 miles per hour with the fastball. Flashed a CB with 11-to-5 break and some good depth.
