Jose Rodriguez is a 2018 LHP/ with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Cape Coral, FL who attends Ida Baker. Medium frame with good present physicality and strength. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a smooth arm circle and threw from a three-quarter arm slot. Compact delivery with a balanced leg lift and follow through. Works quickly and repeats delivery well. Pounds the zone with tons of strikes. Fastball has good natural cut to it and flashed occasional dive. Ground ball mentality and approach. Curveball showed 11/5 shape with short life to it. Gets his stuff to both sides effectively and changes speeds well. Solid pitchability and confidence to throw any pitch in any count. Repeats arm action and delivery well and when going to secondaries as well. Showed a feel for three pitches. Great student.
