Corey Smith is a 2016 2B/RHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Cape May Court House, NJ who attends St Augustine Preparatory. Medium, athletic build with room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, moves well on feet, gets on heels a bit, full arm circle on throws cross, hands play, gets on top of the ball for accurate throws. Left-handed hitter, starts from an upright stance. Upper half swing, shows bat speed in swing with occasional lift, has a feel for the barrel and strength to pull side, line drive contact to pull side gap. Outstanding student.
