Austin Bodrato is a 2016 RHP/IF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Northvale, NJ who attends St Joseph Regional HS. Big and strong athletic build, very athletic look. Quality two-way prospect. Busy delivery on the mound, lots of moving parts create some deception, kicks leg out in delivery, athletic enough to stay on line and balanced well, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action. Softer curveball has big 11/5 shape with good spin, showed the ability firm up the curveball spin with a shorter break when desired. 6.70 runner, showed his arm strength in the outfield but had young actions and footwork. Left handed hitter, spread stance with a double tap trigger, short to the ball with lots of strength in his swing, aggressive hitter who was looking to drive the ball, has strength to the middle of the field. Has the physical tools to keep improving. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida.
