Tim Elko is a 2017 3B/1B with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Lutz, FL who attends Hillsborough HS. Big and strong athletic build, has a young look and should get stronger still. Right handed hitter, controlled swing with bat speed and barrel control, hits to all fields and can drive the ball to the opposite field with authority, mature hitter who recognizes pitch locations and make minute swing adjustments, squares the ball up consistently. Has plenty of arm strength for third base, likely a future first baseman but will be athletic and an asset at that position. Very good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
