Andrew Pace is a 2015 OF/LHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Beaumont, TX who attends Monsignor Kelly HS. Medium athletic build, room to get stronger. 7.25 runner, high energy defender in the outfield, clean arm stroke with some present arm strength and carry. Left handed hitter, straight stance, gets to his front side early, attacks from above the ball and has a sound fundamental swing, swings hard and has some bat speed, flashed some gap to gap power, hitting tools to continue to improve. Also pitched, medium length arm circle with a high 3/4's slot, stays balanced in delivery with some head tilt on release. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with some run and sink at times, curveball flashed good depth with 1/7 shape, can improve release consistency for better command. Has really improved since this event last year. Good student.
