Nicolas Balsano is a 2019 C/3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Colleyville, TX who attends Colleyville Heritage HS. Strong frame with present physicality and still room left on the build to add more. Primary catcher with solid arm strength and good, athletic overall actions. Transfers are very quick with downhill throws to the bag. Footwork stands out and puts his body in good position to make strong, accurate throws. Wide base with the bat wrapped to start. Consistent contact to the pull side but showed the ability to spray line drive contact to all fields. Lower hand set with a line drive-oriented approach and swing plane. Strength and bat speed will continue to improve as he adds more strength and size to the overall frame. Outstanding student.
