Hudson Sanchez is a 2016 SS/3B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Grapevine, TX who attends Southlake Carroll HS. Very nice athletic build, very projectable physically. 6.78 runner, smooth defensive actions at shortstop, stays balanced, good footwork when working through the ball, tends to lay back and trust arm strength, better release and actions when moving through the ball, young actions but potential is evident. Right handed hitter, wide base with a high hand start and a big wrap to start his swing, exaggerated inside approach, stays on his back side and pulls hands through, flashes his bat speed in games but needs adjustments, has the power to drive the ball with a better shift and hand path and will flash that in games. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Texas A&M.
