Nick Vickers is a 2014 LHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Calgary, AB who attends Henry Wisewood HS. Slender athletic build, projects well to gain strength. Low effort delivery, loose 3/4's arm slot, arm works well, tends to spin off front side on release, especially on curveball. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, some arm side run at times. Good curveball, has depth and spin and throws it for strikes, nice feel for change up with cutting action as well. Throws 3 pitches for strikes and has pitchability, has an idea. Gaining strength for increased velocity key for development. Good student.
