Austin Chouinard is a 2017 3B/SS/C with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Centennial, CO who attends Regis Jesuit HS. Has a medium frame and medium build, present sign of athleticism and strength. Posted a 7.93 60-yard dash. From the infield, has good actions and smooth transfers. Quality arm strength and carry getting up to 83 MPH on throws across. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with an upright, narrow stance with a small bat wrap and waggle. Swing starts with a small stride and load. Has a middle of the field to pull side approach with raw strength and power. Good approach at the plate and understands the situation. On the mound, throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with short arm action and good arm speed through the release point. Curveball has 11/5 shape that showed depth. Changeup comes from same release point as fastball. Good student.
