Hertzler is an "04" LHP with a good future. At 6'1/179 he is lean and athletic with lots of room for projection. We've actually seen Hertzler much better than what he showed in Wareham. He would be the first to admit he struggled a little with his mechanics and his command was off. However he still showed 87 mph velocity and a good spinning breaking ball. His arm works without tension. Projectable lefties with good arm action throwing 87 on an off day are very rare. Hertzler is very good, lucky for us we've seen him before.
