Zachary Cable is a 2016 C/OF/RHP with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends River Ridge HS. Strong athletic build, pretty mature look. Very versatile athlete, 7.17 runner, has outstanding raw arm strength both from the outfield and behind the plate, 1.81 best pop time, skills and footwork are young at both positions but athleticism supersedes them. Will likely play OF during HS season as he's on the same team as PG All-American catcher Luke Berryhill. Right handed hitter, narrow and open stance, strides into contact and will get out front at times, can develop better hand rhythm and timing, looking middle in for a chance to drive the ball, has lots of raw bat speed, line drive swing plane. Two-way prospect on the mound, has a compact and quick delivery with a very quick arm, tight 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 88 mph with good plane and heaviness down in the zone, tends to cast curveball and rush through release. Has all the tools to be a high level player, improvement will come when the skills catch up and the game slows down. Good student.
