2014 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase  
Josh Baumgart is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Sioux Falls, SD who attends Roosevelt HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength. Back turn delivery with a deep arm action, hides the ball down his right leg, high 3/4's arm slot coming through, stays on line well and stays balanced and back well from the stretch. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, mostly straight, showed better horizontal than vertical command of his fastball. Change was his top secondary pitch, big sink from what looks like a split grip. Short soft slider with a small sweeping shape, will need to develop depth or power with this pitch. Very good student. Signed with Creighton. Named to the Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase Top Prospect Team.
