Matt Lloyd is a 2014 SS/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Okotoks, AB who attends Foothills Composite HS. Nice projectable athletic build, room to get stronger. 7.20 runner, nice infield actions defensively, charges well and works through the ball, stays balanced with soft hands, very good arm strength with accuracy, shows overall athleticism. Left handed hitter, stays inside the ball consistently, loose swing with good bat speed, has extension out front, line drive plane, best contact pulling the ball, hitting tools to continue to improve. Also pitched, high 3/4's release slot, arm works well from a sound delivery, fastball topped at 84 mph, big breaking curveball with deep 11/5 shape, threw strikes and had an idea. Quality all around player who projects to keep improving.
