Drew Reid is a 2013 SS/3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Washington, DC who attends Maret School. Solid athletic build with strength. Very comfortable in the field. Feel for SS position, also projects well at 2B and 3B. Makes plays look easy, comes through ball well, hands are clean. Quick release, short arm action with good arm strength. Very good defender. Switch hitter. Right side, aggressive swing from still start. Line drive contact, stays inside the ball. Left side, smooth swing, line drive plane with bat speed. Swing projects on both sides of plate. Pitches from high 3/4 slot, raw on mound but repeats mechanics well. Tight spin on 11/5 curveball. Excellent student. Named to Top Prospect Team.
