Matthew Diorio is a 2013 C/OF/1B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends Moore Catholic HS. Strong mature athletic build. 7.06 runner, very athletic behind the plate, low and flexible, blocks and receives well, very good arm strength, exchange tends to be slow, 1.96 best pop, very good game throws, will throw runners out, mature and polished defensive catcher. Left handed hitter, hits from wide base, high hands, line drive swing, hits to all fields, tends to pull off at times, stays pretty short to the ball, loose out front. Top level defensive catcher who plays hard. Verbal commitment to Central Florida.
