Andrew Fishel is a 2015 C/IF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Providence. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and room to fill out with strength. Ran a 7.41 60 yard dash. Good receiving skills behind the plate. Clean arm action with a quick, short down to second with strength. Works well through the ball, staying low, and gaining ground towards second with feet. Throws are online and accurate. Also right handed pitcher with a quick arm and three quarters slot. Fastball up to 82 mph with arm side run with a tight spinning curveball which flashed 11/5 break. Throws a straight change up with occasional fade for strikes. Left handed hitter with a slightly open base and a middle of the field approach in the box. Shows a strong swing with bat speed and a good, consistent path to the ball. Made some line drive contact and will see power increase with added strength. Excellent student.
