Andrew Karp is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Winter Garden, FL who attends West Orange HS. Well proportioned athletic build, good present strength. Calm well paced delivery, some effort at release, high 3/4's arm slot, arm is fast coming through and loose out front, repeats well. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 93 with some frequency, pitches aggressively with his fastball, mostly straight with occasional short running action. Adds and subtracts from his curveball with feel, tends to slow arm on curveball but locates well and gets 11/5 depth at times, also tends to slow arm on change up. Mature pitcher who has an idea how to mix and pitch and throws strikes. Velocity has taken a notable move upwards all summer. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Florida State.
