John Aiello is a 2015 SS with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Lansdale, PA who attends Germantown Academy. Tall angular very athletic build, filling in well and gaining strength. 6.75 runner, good footwork on defense, light on his feet for his size, soft hands at the ball and fields out front, outstanding arm strength with carry, shows his athleticism charging and making the athletic play, possible third base future if he keeps growing but has lots of shortstop actions. Switch-hitter, right handed swing showing better bat speed and swing path, ball comes off the barrel hard with mid field carry, good extension out front, bit more spread and uphill from the left side, hits from under the ball more, creates some top spin, sees the ball very well from both sides and recognizes pitches. Good student, verbal commitment to Wake Forest. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
