Alan Norman is a 2012 RHP/OF/1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Houston Christian HS. Strong physical build. Leg raise delivery, slow pace, hides the ball well, compact 3/4's release, arm works well. Steady mid 80's fastball, topped at 85 mph, good running action, likes to throw fastball inside. Nice arm speed on change up, late sinking action, throws change up with confidence/purpose. Some depth to curveball, proper 11/5 shape, rare slider. Command not fine tuned but mixes it up and has a good idea how to pitch. Good outfield fundamentals defensively, good arm strength. Right handed hitter, low hand still start, one piece swing, high finish, occasional strength at contact. Very good student.
