Kyle Sweat is a 2005 right handed pitcher/first baseman from Apopka, Florida, with a big league frame at 6'4", 195 lbs. Sweat has an easy arm and delivery from a 3/4 slot. He has a late exploding fastball that topped out at 91 mph. Sweat was working from 85-88 during his first two innings, then turned it up a notch to finish things off. His last 5 fastballs were 88, 88, 89, 90, and his last pitch was 91. He threw some tight curveballs between 67-69 mph with good depth and bite. He also has a very good change up with arm speed and sink. Sweat has a very projectable body, and his arm speed and delivery make you think he is going to throw consistently harder in the future. He was one of the top pitching prospects at the event and has a chance to create a lot of draft interest. Kyle has signed with Central Florida.
