Austin Lee is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Biloxi, MS who attends St. Patrick Catholic. He ran a 7.27 sixty. Austin is a primary pitcher with a tall lean frame that still has plenty of room to grow. He works from a very smooth athletic operation with a low effort release. Coming from a straight over the top arm action there is some deception in his release. Lee utilizes his lower half well as he creates plenty of extension down the slope. Working a two pitch mix he showed a low to mid 70s fastball with good late life to it that generates weak contact. His off speed was a tight spinning breaking ball with decent shape to it that he would throw in the zone. As an outfielder he does a good job of staying behind the ball while making accurate throws to the bases. Right handed hitter in the box he starts with a Medium even base with a hovering leg lift. Lee has a long lengthy swing with bat speed that is still developing. He showed solid barrel control to the pull side. Austin is a good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
