J Owen Dobberstein is a 2025 RHP/3B with a 6-2 182 lb. frame from Pewaukee, WI who attends Pewaukee. Primary pitcher with a projectable frame moves from a full windup with a coiling belt high leg lift and rotates open upon release creating good downhill action on his fastball topping 85 mph with a short, quick arm action getting the spin rate in the 2200s while also mixing in a tight breaking ball at 72 mph that has a spin rate in the 2500s. Dobberstein works the ball on both sides of the plate very well as he has a lot of swing and misses out of a mid three-quarter arm slot. Right-handed hitter steps into the plate with a loaded back side and even base using a max effort swing as he keeps the barrel in the zone while impacting the ball with tremendous force, which creates good backspin on the ball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
