Cole Smith is a 2025 MIF/RHP with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Rock Hill, SC who attends Northwestern. Slender athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a short well timed stride into contact, consistent timing and repeats his swing well, gets some leverage and gets the barrel out front, projectable hitting tools as he continues to add strength and physical maturity. 7.55 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has solid fundamental actions with his lower half, can get his glove down sooner, stays balanced and makes accurate throws with some young carry. Took a turn on the mound, has a full arm action in back from a big rocker step start, has some energy at release but holds his delivery together well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, held his velocity and command very well. Showed good feel for a short breaking slider and threw it for strikes. Good athlete who will continue to improve as he adds strength. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
