Garrett Luett is a 2026 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Council Bluffs, IA who attends Underwood. A bigger and more physical frame with room to continue adding strength. Projectable frame. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with strength showing. He threw firm across the diamond with throws coming out at 87 mph. He had smooth hands with a good feel for the glove. He moved well laterally and had good strength across. A left-handed hitter who has a wider base and spread stance. He had higher-set hands and a high-back elbow. He strides inward to get to the ball and drives the ball well in the air. He produced some solid contact for the middle of the field with tons of barrel control. Creates separation with some carry. Hammered balls to centerfield and right-center during his round of BP swings. Good pull-side juice. Produced a 91 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Added a double in-game as well. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a bigger and physical look. He had a leg lift around the belt, sidestepping into the leg lift. He has a longer arm action with a quick and whippy release. Throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot. The fastball worked up into the low-80s with good life to it. He pronated and showed a diving changeup as well in the mid-70s. Also had an 11-5 shaped curveball up to 69 mph to round things out. Threw all three pitches for strikes and competed in the zone. He worked with uptempo actions. Slow and deliberate with a controlled delivery but worked quickly to get the ball back and deliver the next pitch with pace. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Iowa. Named to 2023 Midwest Top Prospect Games TP List.
