Jacob Ross is a 2024 RHP/SS with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Greenfield, WI, who attends Wisconsin Lutheran. A taller frame with a lean build. Ran a 7.67 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a coiling belt-high leg lift. Hides the ball well through the delivery and was able to work down in the zone and command to both sides of the plate well. Works from a three-quarters arm slot. His fastball works well, with some arm-side run working 81-84 mph and spinning up above 2,000 RPMs. Also showed a upper-60s breaking ball as a change of pace. A right-handed hitter a slightly open stance with staggered feet. Lower hands with a quick push-back load. Had a repeatable operation during his round of BP and was able to get on plane and barrel up the ball pull-side for some hard-line drives. Was able to get the hands out front and drive the ball. Also worked out as an infielder with some arm strength to throw 84 mph across the diamond. Carried momentum through his throws. Showed the pocket early and fielded with two hands up the middle as he began working into his throws. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
