West Coast HS Showdown Scout Notes: Day 1


Skylar Edmonds (2022, Red Mountain)

Edmonds' ability to swing the bat was impressive, as he continues to be a threat and square balls up. He features a tall, lean, athletic build with room to continue adding more. He was aggressive on the bases, and showed off his wheels and stoles a few bases. He also made some nice plays in right field. His speed allows him to cover a lot of ground to both sides of the ball. Edmonds worked through the ball with good hands and a quick transition. Displayed a strong arm with firm, accurate throws. He is fun to watch and someone to keep an eye on the rest of the tournament.
