Gavin Weinshenker (2024, Theodore, Ala.) brings athleticism to both sides of the ball for East Coast Sox. At short he has the first-step quickness and works around the ball with smooth foot work and confidence in the glove. Where he can really change the game, though, is on the bases. He showed to have elite speed on the bases and pretty much moved around them at will, taking the extra base and swiping bags when he wants to. At the plate he has found the barrel a good bit as he is tied for second in hits across the entire tournament with eight hits in four games. The timing to the swing is good with the barrel getting out front and routinely impacting the baseball to the pull side.

Tag Andrews (2024, Maumelle, Ark.) made his second appearance of the tournament on Wednesday night and once again was nasty for the Arkansas Prospects. The Arkansas commit went four innings without allowing a hit and striking out four with only one walk. This outing brought his tournament totals to six innings, no hits, five strikeouts, and two walks. His fastball was good on Wednesday, but the slider was even better. He sat 83-86 mph with the heater and showed good carry through the zone with a quick shoulder. The slider matches the plane of the fastball well with great hand speed throwing it at 77-80 mph but tilts away from the barrel late, creating plenty of swing-and-miss. The development of Andrews will be fun to watch as the breaking ball has a chance to be a special pitch for the young right-hander.
