Right-handed pitcher Nathan Schikore (2023, Fairfield, Calif.) showed the frame and stuff to be a strong starter in the near future. Went complete game striking out six with only four hits allowed and only one being on a barrel. The compact arm worked in sync with the body down the hill allowing him to locate the fastball (79-82, T83) to both sides of the plate and knew how to pitch. Didn’t bring the off-speed out until the second time through and those were both good also. As Schikore fills in the frame, he will add velocity and make the already impressive stuff even better.



Right-handed pitcher Brandon Leon (2023, Turlock, Calif.) came into the game for the final two innings and showed his loose and live arm while changing eye levels with the fastball (82-85, T87) and curveball (69-73) combination. Was able to ride the fastball arm side and through the top of the zone jamming hitters and getting the swings. The curveball was spun tightly and the late break produced swings. The frame is smaller, but moved well on the mound and should be able to keep adding to it.
