One of the highest ranked pitchers in the class, Travis Garnett (2021, Pasadena, Md.) toed the rubber over at Kell High School in one of the afternoon starts and struggled but still showed a lot of quality components and stuff that posits a very bright future for the southpaw. At a listed 6-foot-6, 220-pounds, there’s excellent size to project upon given the length of his build, his broad shoulders, and his athleticism. The slider has the makings of a plus pitch as during national it was one of the better pitches in terms of TrackMan statistics along with the traditional components in its tunnel, bite, and two-plane snap. Garnett is a much better pitcher than the line he turned in on Tuesday as the stuff he possesses is still very good.
