WWBA 14u West National Championship

Facing off in the 2019 WWBA 14u West National Championship were the two talented teams of CCB 14u Elite and 3n2 Warriors. It came down to a great pitching duel between both teams in the title game with 3n2 Warriors coming out on top and winning the WWBA 14u West National Championship by squeezing out a 2-1 victory.

3n2 Warriors got on the board in the bottom of first inning with a single to left field by Demitri Diamant (2022, Las Vegas, Nev) who later scored on a single to right field by Duce Robinson (2023, Phoenix, Ariz). In the top of the fourth inning, Noel Alijah Ramos (2023, Fremont, Calif.) reached on an error, advanced to second base and then came around to score on a Wills Towers (2023, San Jose, Calif.) single. Answering back in the bottom of the fifth inning, 3n2 Warriors went ahead by an RBI double to left field by Josh Tiedemann making the score 2-1.

Starting on the mound for CCB 14u Elite was Liam Kaushikkar (2023, Los Altos, Calif), who worked five innings. Opposing Kaushikkar for 3n2 Warriors was Josh Tiedemann (2023, Chandler, Ariz), who provided three scoreless frames.

WWBA 16u West National Championship

After a long week of baseball in temperatures reaching as high as 112 degrees, the WWBA 16u West National Championship came down to one final game between CBA Utah and Team California USA at Peoria Sports Complex Stadium. Runs were hard to come by in a grueling one run battle to the finish as CBA Utah grinded out a 2-1 win to claim the championship.

Team California jumped up to a one run lead early thanks to a Mason Austin (2021, Carlsbad, Calif.) double into left. However, CBA tied the ball game in the fourth off a passed ball and then took a one-run lead for good in the fifth off a Dalin Ludlow (2021, Nephi, Utah.) double.

Carston Herman (2021, Santa Clara, Utah) went the distance for CBA to pick up the win, allowing just one run on five hits, striking out six without allow a walk. For his performance Herman was named the event’s Most Valuable Pitcher.
